That Refrigerator Hum (Day 142)

This week we're starting our observation and investigation of our bodies. You'll note that every practice we do involves bringing our (human) awareness to our (reptile) body (e.g. focusing on the feeling of breath and breathing or on body sensations). Our task is to grow this awareness.
We'll start by simply noticing the felt sense of our bodies, the sensational presence that lies underneath our emotions and thoughts. Most of the time, this body hum lives in the background, much like the sound of your refrigerator, which you're so used to that it's rarely noticed, which is usually when things are quiet and the refrigerator stops for a minute, at which point you realise how loud it was!
PRACTICE
Try and stay aware of the physical feeling of your body as you go about your day. There is always something happening at this level!
