From Darkness to Light โ€” Day 206



The Buddha talked about:

  1. Being in the light (things are good ๐Ÿ™‚) or being in the dark (things are not good ๐Ÿ™). This is about where you are right now.

  2. Moving either towards lighter or towards darker. (You are always moving one way or another โ€“ there is no sitting still!) This is about which way you're heading. Which is determined by how you handle the moment.


You're not responsible for #1, for whether you're in the light or dark right now. You ARE, however, entirely responsible for #2.


#2 is how you move from wherever you are right now, towards more light. You accomplish this by approaching the world from the perspective of your human awareness.


Remember, this is not something you 'do'. This is mere awareness/acceptance. It's literally the least you can do! To paraphrase another great yogi (from a distant galaxy), "There is no try or do...only love".

PRACTICE

Make your choiceless observation of this moment*.

Unconditionally love it*.

Be aware & accepting of 'what is'*.


These are all the same thing! ๐Ÿ˜
