Essential & Subtle Posture (Day 167)

One of the core reasons to practice physical yoga is to eventually be able to sit – stable and still – long enough to finish the mental practice, observing our bodies and minds with extraordinary subtlety, and finding out what's really going on!
Your @attention posture lies at the heart of every yoga posture. At first you'll use it quite strongly and obviously, particularly when you're doing something physically or emotionally taxing. But the more familiar you get with engaging your core, the more you'll explore subtlety. At some point you'll feel a shift from a sense of physical engagement to a far subtler sense of attentive presence.
PRACTICE
As you become more familiar with supporting yourself – your 3 bandhas and breath – start to notice the differing levels of engagement required throughout your day.
