Day 19 โ€“ Taste ๐Ÿ‘…

Today we did a mindful eating practice and focused on the taste...as well as texture, feel, sound, smell, etc. of what we ate. Eating involves all of our senses!


Research shows that we are busier and more distracted than ever while we're eating. Additionally, we wrap this universal biological need in layers of distorting emotions and thoughts.


But simply bringing your awareness to the act of eating (including the taste) changes every parameter around how we eat โ€“ from what we choose to eat, how much we eat, how fast, to how well we absorb the nutrients in our food.


PRACTICE

Pay close attention to the taste of what you eat today. Notice the feel in your mouth and body, and notice that fact that you're objectively observing.
